Community of Practice
Welcome to the Positive Deviance Community! This is a virtual Community of Practice (CoP) created to allow Positive Deviance (PD) practitioners around the globe to connect with one another based upon sector or field of interest. It is designed as a membership group that will serve as a safe and effective space to network, exchange ideas and begin important discussions about the PD approach.
One of the most important aspects of the mission of the Positive Deviance Initiative (PDI) is to expand the practice of the PD approach and support PD networks. The PDI knows that there are countless independent PD projects going on around the world, and this CoP is a collaborative way to expand the PD network. It is the hope of the PDI that CoP members will support one another in using the PD approach so that practitioners may learn together, solve problems, exchange ideas and information, and provide support.
